Celebrate our Gardens: An armchair tour of Medlar House, Hardwick Lane

When?

June 20, 2021

How much?

Free to watch. All donations towards the work of the Hospice are gratefully received.

Join us for our series of online events, Celebrate our Gardens, and this special armchair tour around Pam and Malcolm’s beautiful garden at Medlar House in Hardwick Lane.

Built on the site of Sunnyhill tennis court, this sloping site required terracing for ease of maintenance.

Several separate areas were created, including a meadow area providing an environment for a variety of wildlife, a large variety of wild plants, a small garden area on the west side of the house featuring architectural plants, and pots and planters dotted around the garden on gravel to deter the snails. There is also a good sized greenhouse where plants are grown from seeds and cuttings.

The entrance to the property features a brick wall covered with white wisteria and a rose bush underplanted with lavender and tulips.
