Becoming a Trustee for St Nicholas Hospice Care

The Hospice is hosting three open events welcoming anyone with an interest in learning more about becoming a trustee.

Introduction from our Chairman, Charles Simpson:

The main role our trustees have is to support the success of the Hospice’s mission to ensure everyone is informed, equipped and able to live with dying, death and grief.

For anyone wanting to join us and make a difference this is an exciting time for the Hospice as we currently have a new strategy and are looking at new ways that we can connect with our community.

We need people who are able to help us shape our strategy, and offer support and guidance as we safeguard the Hospice’s future place in the communities of West Suffolk and Thetford.

Our current trustees come from all walks of life, and although we are not involved in the day-to-day running of the organisation, we work together as a team in a supervisory role, providing direction to the charity’s leadership team to keep St Nicholas Hospice Care moving forward while ensuring the charity is well-governed.
