St Nicholas Hospice Care is an independent charity delivering specialist palliative care to patients and their families within the communities of West Suffolk and Thetford.
We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to help maintain and meet the high levels of personal care required by the hospice. This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to meet new people and help to make a real difference to everyone that visits our Sylvan Ward.
Whatever your background, interests and experience by volunteering with St Nicholas Hospice, a little of your time will make a big difference.
We are currently looking for individuals to carry out housekeeping duties such as providing refreshments, re-stocking laundry and maintaining hygiene standards. Other tasks that may be required such as; sitting with patients – to provide comfort, reassurance and support. This may involve reading to patients, or writing letters for them.
We require Monday – Sunday Volunteer Housekeeper cover for early and late shifts.
Early shifts – 08:00 – 13:00
Late shifts – 17:00 – 21:00
*These times are a guide and can be negotiated on an individual basis.
