Our 12-bed unit is a well-supported setting where you work alongside a multidisciplinary team of Senior Registered Nurses, Health Care Assistants, specialist Medical team and Allied Health Professionals. Additionally, our volunteers bring plenty of positivity and invaluable support to our ward. This diversity of skills, knowledge and experience is fundamental to excellent care, and the ward’s friendly and supportive atmosphere.

Set in the grounds of our peaceful gardens, our Sylvan Ward offers a calming environment for palliative care. At the same time, inspired activities such as afternoon teas, pizza nights and donkey visits make for lasting memorable moments; these are some of the most wonderful examples of holistic care our teams create for our patients and families.

To ensure a positive work-life balance, we facilitate a flexible, family-friendly approach by encouraging the team to self-roster. Our inpatient team work a 12-hour shift pattern of days and nights. We offer a supportive roster; if you have special requirements for your working pattern, we encourage you to discuss your needs.
