Marion Miles – Trustee
I was the Headteacher at Ickworth Park Primary School for nearly 20 years until my retirement in 2008. Prior to that I was the acting Headteacher at Fressingfield Primary School and a Maths Teacher at Stowmarket Middle School. I have also written several maths support books for teachers.
Other community involvement:
I am currently a Governor at Riverwalk School in Bury St Edmunds, supporting children with severe, profound and complex learning needs. In addition to my role as a trustee at St Nicholas Hospice Care I also volunteer my time to help with corporate and administrative tasks in the Hospice.
Why did you become a St Nicholas Hospice Care trustee?
My involvement with the Hospice began when I started volunteering in 2009. I was so impressed by the ethos of the Hospice – putting the patient at the heart of everything that’s done – that I wished to offer some help.
I became a trustee in 2011 as I wanted to use my skills and experience and get more deeply involved. The Hospice has an amazing reputation in the local community. I feel privileged to be associated with it.
