Brigid Martineau – Trustee
Having given up evening handbag design some 20 years ago, I have since worked throughout East Anglia as an independent consultant in the purchase of houses for private clients, with both Bidwells and Jackson-Stops & Staff.
Other community involvement:
I have been church-nominated governor of our local village primary school and I have worked, as a committee member, on the appeal for the Theatre Royal Restoration Fund. I am currently working on one of the appeal committees for the coming year’s High Sheriff of Suffolk. I am also at present working on my fifth Secret House Hunt in aid of the Hospice.
Why did you become a St Nicholas Hospice Care Trustee?
I have always been interested in the Hospice and was, 26 years ago, one of the first volunteer workers at Turret House, the day centre in Westgate Street.
